Introduction to Ceramics
Our Introduction to Ceramics class is a hands-on, beginner-friendly experience designed to give you a feel for clay. In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn the basics of working on the wheel—from centring clay to shaping simple vessels—in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
After your class, our instructors spend additional time carefully trimming and glazing your pieces by hand, adding beautiful finishing touches to showcase the full potential of your creations. We take pride in the quality and care invested in every piece made at RTC.

Firing & Pick Up
Once your pieces are made, they go through multiple stages to transform from raw clay into finished ceramics. Our instructors carefully trim and refine each piece before it moves through the drying, bisque firing, and glazing process.
This process takes time to ensure the best results. Your finished ceramics will typically be ready for about 4 weeks after your class. You’ll receive an email notification as soon as they’re available for pick-up.
Collection & Storage Policy
Finished pieces must be collected within 3 weeks after you've been notified. After this period, unclaimed work may be discarded due to limited studio space.
As a gentle reminder, please take good care of your creations—they're a partnership between you and your instructor. All ceramics made at RTC are food safe, oven safe, microwave friendly, and dishwasher safe. To help extend the life of your creations, we recommend hand washing to avoid accidental knocks and chips.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your patience and can’t wait for you to take home your handmade creations!
